   Formation of Service Tax Commissionerate Ministry of Finance, Government to India vide Order No. 4/2/2004 – Service Tax dated 18.05.2004 have notified creation of six Service Tax Commissionerates in the following cities:-

i) Delhi ii)  Mumbai iii) Chennai iv)  Kolkatta  v)  Bangalore  vi)  Ahmedabad

It has been further notified vide order dated 14.09.2004 that the Service Tax Commissionerates located in the above places will start functioning with effect from 15.09.2004  Details
