MINUTES OF THE COMBINED MEETING OF HELP CENTRES 1 & 2 HELD ON 10.02.2006.

 
   

The  combined meeting of  Committees of Help Centre No. 1 &  2 was held at 15.00 Hrs on 10.02.2006 (Friday) at the premises of CII, Guindy.  The following members of the Committees were present:

2.      Shri.  Magotra, Joint Commissioner of Service Tax chaired the meeting and welcomed all the participants.  He presented the statistics regarding Help centers. The following was the data presented:

3. The meeting specifically took note of the very few visitors ( in single digit ) to the two Help Centres at Chennai, whereas Officers are regularly attending the Help Centre sparing their valuable time.  It was felt the purpose of the Help Centre could be met by holding the Help Centre at Industrial clusters rather than at a fixed point every day.

 

 

4. The meeting appreciated the Two Help Centres Held at Ambattur Industrial Estate and Guindy Industrial Estate which was attended by nearly 100 persons from Trade and Industry.  It was felt that a separate Help centre could be conducted at a suitable place for Service Tax matters because considerable time was taken for Central Excise matters leaving little time for Service Tax area. 

 

            5. It was informed that a similar Help Centre is scheduled for 17th February 2006 at Hosur organized under the Auspicious of Hosur Industries Association.

 

            6. The meeting ended with Shri. Magotra expressing  thanks to all the participants.
