Sub:  Recruitment to the post of Sepoy – Date of physical test and preliminary interview – publication of list – Reg

   

In continuation of this office letter of even no dated 1.5.08 remaining list of candidates who have been called for physical test / preliminary interview from 13.05.08 to 23.05.08 for selection to the post of Sepoys in terms of the recruitment notice dated 14.01.08  is given in the Annexure, datewise. Separate intimation has been sent to each candidate. If any candidate in the list has not received the same, this office may be contacted. 

2. The candidates are to appear for the Physical standard test / Physical test at 7 A.M. on the respective dates at the   YMCA College of Physical Education, YMCA ground, Nandanam, Chennai -  600 035 . 

3.  Those who pass the Physical standard test and Physical test are required to undergo a Preliminary interview at the Office of the Chief Commissioner of Central Excise, No. 26/1, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Chennai 600 034 at 3.00 P.M. on the same day.  The candidates selected from the Preliminary interview will be called for a further interview for final selection, the date of which will be informed later. 

      4.   .           The parameters of the Physical standard test / Physical test are as below:

For Male candidates

For Female candidates

Physical standard (minimum):

Height – 157.5 cms (relaxable by 5 cms in the case of Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas and members of the Schedule Tribes)

Chest – 81 cms. (fully expanded with minimum expansion of 5 cms)

 

Physical test:

Walking – 1600 meteres in 15 minutes   Cycling –      8 Kms. In 30 minutes

 

Physical standard (minimum):

Height – 152 cms  :   Weight – 48 kgs

(Height relaxable by 2.5 cms. and weight by 2 kgs for Garhwalis, Assemese, Gorkhas and members of the Schedule Tribes)

 

Physical Test :

Walking – 1 km. in 20 minutes  

Cycling –  3 kms. In 25 minutes

 

 

      5.  No TA/DA etc.  will be paid for attending the said Tests / Preliminary Interview

6   The candidates should also bring one passport size photograph  exactly similar to that pasted on your application form

     7.  Bicycle for the cycling test will be provided to those who cannot bring the same
