Chennai Central Excise Jurisdiction

           The  Tamilnadu Central Excise Zone Comprises Ten Central Excise Commissionerates viz; Chennai-I / Chennai-II / Chennai-III / Chennai-IV / Pondichery / Salam / Madurai / Trichy / Coimbatore / Thirunelveli and two Customs Commissionerate viz; Trichy and Tuticorin Customs. The following are the boundaries of each Chennai Central Excise Commissionerates.

CHENNAI-I

            The  Chennai - I C.Ex., Commissionerate    in the areas comprising of the taluka of Fort-Tondiarpet  Taluk   of   Chennai   District, in the areas comprising of the Airport Terminals in Alandur Firks of Tambaram Taluka in the district of Kancheepuram, in the areas falling under Minjur Firka of Ponneri taluks and Madhavaram firka of Ambattur taluk in the distict of Tiruvallur, of the State of Tamilnadu.

The Chennai-I Central Excise Commissionerate  has the following Divisions.  

1.     A Division 

2.    B Division

3.     C Division

 4.     D Division

5.    E Division

CHENNAI-II

            The  Chennai - II C.Ex., Commissionerate    comprising in the district of Chennai (excluding Fort-Tondiarpet), in the areas comprising Thiruperumbudur taluk of Kancheepuram district, and the district of Tiruvellore (excluding  the taluks of Pallipattu and Tiruttani and the Minjur firka of Ponneri taluk and Madhavaram firka of Ambattur taluk), of the State of Tamil Nadu. 

The Chennai-II Central Excise Commissionerate  has the following Divisions.  

1.     I Division

2.    II Division

3.    III Division

4.     IV Division

5.     V Division

 

CHENNAI-III

           The Chennai - III C.Ex., Commissionerate    comprising in the districts of Dharmapuri (excluding the Jurisdiction of Coimbatore as below), Vellore, Thiruvannamalai, Kancheepuram (excluding Thiruperumbudur taluk and Airport Terminals in Alandur firka of Tambaram taluk), Villipuram (except Vanur taluk) and the Pallipattu and Tirtuttani taluks of Tiruvellore district of the State of Tamilnadu.

The Chennai-III Central Excise Commissionerate  has the following Divisions.  

                     

CHENNAI-IV

1.  Chromepet Division

2.  Perungudi Division    

 3.  Guindy Division 

4.   Poonamallee Division  

 5. Maduravoyal  Division

 In the Division Nos.138, 140, 141, 151 to 155 of the Corporation of Chennai, Maduravoyal Firka (Villages viz. Perumalagaram, Ayanambakkam, Koladi, Puliambedu [Noombal], Sivapadam, Thandalam, Vanagaram, Karambakkam, Maduravoil, Nerkundram, Valasaravakkam and part of Porur) of Ambattur Talluk, Poonamallee Talluk and Tiruvallur Talluk in Tiruvallur District (except those area covered under Chennai-II), Thiruperumbudur talluk and Pallikarani Firka and Alandur Firka of Tambaram Talluk (villages viz., Karapakkam, Okkiamthoripakkam, Perunguidi, Seevaram, Pallikaaranai, Medavakkam, Jeladianpettai, Perumbakkam, Sithalapakkam, Kovilancheri, Madurapakkam, Moolacheri, Ottlambakkam, Arasankaazhani, Semancheri, Sholinganallur Part I and Sholinganallur Part II, Kottivakkam, Palavakkam, Neelankarai and Injambakkam, Nandambakkam, Saint Thomas Mount, Alandur, Adyar, Paruthibakkam, Adambakkam, Pazhavanthangal, Nanganallur, Ullagaram, Moovarasampattur, Madipakkam Part I, Madipakkam Part II, Nanmangalam, Nemilicherry, Kovilambakkam, Meenambakkam, Kaul Bazaar, Anagaputhur, Pozhichalur, Pammal, Jamin Pallavaram, Cantonment Pallavaram, Isa Pallaavaram, Thirusulam, Thalakancherry, Asthinapuram, Thiruneermalai and Chrompet) of the district of Kancheepuram in the State of Tamilnadu.
