Independence Day 2010
Independence
day was celebrated in Central Excise, Chennai. The Chief
Commissioner, Smt.Shanti Sundharam, IRS hoisted the national
flag and addressed the gathering of officers and staff.
She said, 'In our professional life we have to do our duty and
service with total integrity, within the legal framework, both
of the constitution and our subjective and procedural laws,
rules, regulations, including those of our department.'
She also hinged on the use of automation of Central Excise and
Service Tax (ACES) and the fast ensuing GST regime.
